Who we are
Bombay Selection House ("we", "the store") is a clothing and fashion retail store in Orai, Uttar Pradesh, India (GSTIN 09ABKPG5622R1Z2). This policy explains what personal information we handle when you shop with us and how we use it.
Information we collect
- Billing details you give us: your name (optional) and mobile number, when you choose to share them at the counter so that your invoice can be sent to you.
- Purchase records: invoice number, items, amounts, taxes and payment mode, which we are legally required to keep for accounting and GST compliance.
We do not collect passwords, card numbers or location data, and our website sets no tracking cookies.
How we use it
- To issue your invoice and, if you asked for it, to send a transactional WhatsApp message containing your invoice details via the WhatsApp Business Platform (operated by Meta Platforms, Inc.).
- To maintain our books of account in our accounting software (Zoho Books, operated by Zoho Corporation).
- To handle returns, exchanges and warranty queries you raise with us.
We send only transaction-related messages. We do not send marketing messages on WhatsApp unless you have explicitly opted in, and you can stop them at any time by replying STOP or telling us at the store.
Sharing
Your details are shared only with the service providers needed to deliver the above (Meta/WhatsApp for message delivery, Zoho for accounting) and with authorities where the law requires it. We never sell or rent customer information.
Retention and security
Invoice records are retained for the period required under Indian tax law (currently eight years from the end of the financial year). Access to billing systems is restricted to authorised staff on approved devices and protected by sign-in controls.
Your choices and data deletion
You may ask us to correct your name or mobile number, to stop WhatsApp messages, or to delete your contact details from our billing system. Contact us at +91 98895 16535 or visit the store. Invoice records themselves must be kept for the statutory period, but we will remove your contact details from them on request where the law allows.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at bshorai.com/privacy with a new effective date.
